ATHLETICS
The high school and junior high track teams have started practice and track meets. If you would like to attend a track meet to support the WVCS Warriors, please contact the school office. Congratulations to the following athletes who received all-league awards for varsity basketball: Michael Helmer (1st team), Tyler Merritt (2nd team), Grant Smith (Honorable Mention) and Lauren Barker (Honorable Mention). Thank you to these athletes for representing WVCS so well. |
ELEMENTARY TRACK MEET
The elementary track meet is hosted by Santiam Christian School. It will be held on Friday, May 16 at Linn-Benton Community College. Grades 1-5 will be participating in the track meet. An information letter and lunch order form will be sent home on Friday, April 11. The cost of the track meet is $8.00 per student. If you pre order lunch it will cost $2.50 per lunch. The money and forms will be due Friday, April 18. Please do not send the money without the form.
On occasion we have provided transportation with the school bus; however, this year because of the accident we are unable to take a bus. Please consider driving your child and/or other children to and from the track meet. The information coming home will have a place to indicate if you are able to drive. Parents and non, WVCS siblings may attend the track meet; however, per school policy, you will not be able to drive or chaperone other students.
WORSHIP NIGHT/SPRING PROGRAM
On Thursday, May 8 at 7:00pm WVCS students, Kindergarten -12th, grades will participate in the Spring Program. Everyone is invited to attend this musical performance. While this is a musical night of worship and performance, it is also part of the student’s grade. Students should wear chapel dress and should report to their classrooms at 6:45pm. |
